Healing

The child is healing
Peace is abound
Love and caring
Are all around

Past horrors alive
But no longer frightening
Pain and fear have subsided
Awareness is heightening

So much still unknown
But the feelings are real
Do I need to know all
In order to heal

My world is changed
New colors, new scents
Feelings born anew
Should I lament

I am happy now
Content and at peace
Filled with a love
That knows no release
